I will fill myself with the desert and the sky. I will be stone and stars, unchanging and strong and safe. The desert is complete; it is spare and alone, but perfect in its soltitude. I will be the desert.  Kiersten White, The Chaos of Stars

I think it is great that you have learned to find so much beauty in the desert, Sandy. That is not an experience I have had, but through you (and Craigfactor), I am learning. I guess mountains, oceans, and rolling green hills don’t have the entire allotment of beauty!

I think the beauty of the desert is more subtle then other environments. I do miss the green and trees this spring but that is offset by all the neat things in the desert. We did get a little rain so it isn’t quite so brown out.

Ahh, a serene quote today Sandy, yes you have some good photos of the desert this year. However, I don’t think we have yet to see a photo of the desert stars!

I really like this quote, Sandy. It describes the desert profoundly. Thank you.
