Art is unquestionably one of the purest and highest elements in human happiness. It trains the mind through the eye, and the eye through the mind. As the sun colors flowers, so does art color life. John Lubbock, The Pleasures of Life

That is an interesting quote. So is the picture. Is that one of those neat sidewalk drawings? Does it really say Kerrville Chalk Festival …. Have you been do Kerrville? That is where Linda, my former sister in law and her husband Sonny lived, when I went to visit them in 2011.

I could be wrong but I think the Kerrville thing you are referring to was a mat for people coloring to rest their arms on but I am not sure. There may have been people out here from Kerrville for Artwalk. I remember when you went to see Linda and Sonny. I’d have to look at a map but I think of Kerrville over near Austin area. It is one of the sidewalk draws from Artwalk in November. Thanks again for letting me know I forgot to post!

Okay … I was referring to the picture, which says you took it. Is that the mat? Anyway, Kerrville is west of Austin … near Fredericksburg.

      • Sandy says:

I guess I am confused Barb by your comment. I took the picture during Artwalk. There is a mat that says Kerrville on it above the chalk drawing that was being worked on here in Alpine. And Kerrville is by Austin.

You caught them in the middle of the painting? Nice …
