    A little “hello” from balmy Alpine TX or what? Great photo & quote but strikes so close to the endless bitter cold Spokane of late. Don’t know how the birds I feed have survived it all. Not to mention the homeless. Breaks my heart.

      My only thought was what a beautiful picture this is. Didn’t think at all about the weather here or there. When I looked closer, it does look like winter outside the cave but I don’t associate ice caves with the cold. It was summertime the last time I was at the ice caves in the Pryor mountains, south of Billings.
