Little Free Library Week

  1. Coincidentally, just yesterday I came across a snippet in Parade that reads: “The Little Free Libraries movement started in Hudson, Wis., where Todd Bol mounted a wooden box filled with books outside his home. Today there are more than 10,000 little free libraries worldwide.”
    P.S.
Blue Highways is a great book. In a bad spot in his life William Least Heat-Moon takes off in his van to travel the back roads of the United States. It’s right up here with John Steinbeck’s “Travels With Charlie.”

  2. Barb Estinson says:

I think I’d enjoy reading Blue Highways. I have loved Travels With Charlie. The Little Free Libraries movement is so neat.

    • OMG Barb, if you loved “Travels With Charlie” I know you’re going to LOVE “Blue Highways”!! It was published, I’m pretty sure, sometime in the 80’s – – – tried to find my hardback copy in my library but per my files I lent it to my niece Sarah last year. Truly an extraordinary book.
