But apparently there is such a thing as a free toilet ….

    • Sandy says:

WEll, I think if you take the quote to heart, there are no free toilets either, unless you are going to use it as a flower pot, LOL.

  2. Brings to mind all the anecdotal stories about people leaving “free” stuff in their yards. Rarely were “free” things ever taken – – – but the day “$5 or whatever replaced “free” the item was taken overnight!

  3. Jesse says:

We beg to differ Mr. Friedman! The free lunch is called asset diversification! Oh, and yeah a free toilet bowl as well 🙂

    • Sandy says:

I fail to see how there are no free lunches is asset diversification. That is referring to the hidden costs associated with something supposedly free as opposed to diversifying ones investments in various stocks, bonds, etc.

      • Sandy says:

The header is the asset diversification, not putting all your eggs in one basket 🙂 Or should I say, not putting all your eggs in one toliet!

  4. me says:

I enjoy giving free lunches to many, whether I know them or not. (Whether they want it or not…) Reality vs philosophy. Where is reality?
Many pray to the porcelain ‘god’ from time to time….. I won’t touch the egg comment ..LOL

Economics …well it’s based on Market demand…which can be skewed.

    Oh bother…. boggles

  5. me says:

Aren’t they flushed in the bigger picture?
